ABOUT Attica is a 2 Michelin star fine dining restaurant in Melbourne.ATTICA Ben Shewry is the owner and the one behind all the operations of the restaurant. It is located at number 74 Glen Eira Rd, RipponleaA BRIEF Melbourne Victoria.BACKGROUND The restaurant serves a 13-course meal with commodities obtained from the native ingredients of the Ripponlea estate. 1.The main challenges faced by the restaurant include: Sourcing the right staff with the technical skills and qualifications to match the job.2.The external environmental forces, Covid-19 natural disaster being on top of the list.The restaurant is now doing deliveries to comply with the government laws regarding the probable solution of reducing the risk of Covid-19. Giving back to communities and providingsupport to hospitality workers is going to givethe restaurant a competitive advantage and alsomay attract a more skilled workforce when thecrisis is over (Attica,2020).4. Sourcing fresh good  quality vegetables touse in the restaurant and  as a solution BenShewry started growing vegetables and herbs indifferent garden plots Attica | may 01st 2020


THE CHANGES Change its restaurant space to house Attica’s home pick-up and delivery offer due to the Government’s closure of all restaurants from March 22. Have not stood down any of its 36 employees, though the front of house is now working as distribution couriers for the Attica at home service. Attica | may 01st 2020


Another change the restaurant faced was in2017, when the restaurant got a new owner BenShewry, redesigned the whole menu to fit whathe was visualising.The dining room got renovated to fit the menutheme and tell a story of what is happening withthe food and ethics of the food (Grey, 2020).
