It all began when the painter (Richard Fitton) managed to extend his contract on his studio to take in two floors of the building he occupied. Anthony Cosgrove had been working on Richards behalf to help establish himself as an Artist in the area some time ago, and as luck would have it, they both are literally round the corner from each others premises. 52 Our latest exhibition, People Watching, runs from Friday 17 November 2017 to Friday 15 December. It focuses on people and their stories - this is the essence of what is known as The Human Condition, all the things that are unique about being human. It is the search for one’s purpose in life, the experience of birth, isolation, joy, sadness, love and death. It is a rich subject matter for art. They say that every picture tells a story and we have brought together more than 70 paintings by 14 artists to tell these stories. The exhibition features iconic work by Peter Howson, Ghislaine Howard and Geoffrey Key (amongst others). All work can be viewed on our website, where we hope you find your story...
